The Final Step in Cylinder Honing
The “IDEAL” cylinder bore finish for today’s piston rings would be one that simulates a broken-in engine to minimize initial wear on the rings. Now, that can be accomplished with Soft Plateau Finishing Brushes.
The special grit impregnated in Soft Plateau Finishing Brushes removes loose, torn, folded and fractured fragments of metal that ordinary cleaning brushes don’t touch. Soft Plateau Brushes also reach aggressively into the valleys and grooves removing metal particles that would have otherwise been left behind. 15-20 strokes per bore is all that is needed to accomplish a plateaued finish.
