What is the only tool that used on Nikasil or Electrofusion plated cylinders?The answer is Abrasive nylon tube brush. We can’t use Hone Tools and stone hones should NEVER be used on plated cylinders. Hone Tools will do extreme damage to the plating. Abrasive Nylon Twisted Brushes just removes microscopic peaks and scuffs and removes oil and carbon deposits and does NOT apply a cross-hatch finish. Abrasive Spiral Brushes are very mild on the plating and easy to use.
